Kirsten Kieffer

Kirsten Kieffer is a young woman that I have watched for a few months and was delighted to have her accept my invitation to come to the Wooster for the Functional Ceramics Workshop. I have enjoyed chatting with her and learning more about her and her goals working in the field of Clay. I have seen her work and have enjoyed it and I am delighted to bring Kirsten to Wooster.

Karl Borgeson

Karl has exhibited his work in the Wooster show a year or so ago. I could hardly wait to unpack his work and to handle these handsome pieces. His stoneware pieces just beckoned me to run off with at least one of his works. But, I was comforted to just to be able to hold these works and to enjoy them. Please Welcome Karl to The Wooster Workshop and then make room for me to just sit and watch.

Gwen will also discuss regional marketing using her experience at the Kentucky Artisan Center to talk about different ways to promote both the artist and studio events. Gwen is a gifted artist and recipient of many awards. Her work is in numerous prestigious exhibitions. She currently works at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Crafts. It is a pleasure to have Gwen here in Wooster. Her work has been in the Functional Exhibition in prior years. Please welcome Gwen back to Wooster.

Special Feature: Matt Neff

Back by popular demand! Photographer and Bryan High School art teacher Matt Neff is back again this year to help workshop participants shoot digital images of their work. Simply bring 5 - 6 pieces of your work to the workshop to be photographed. Images will be burned to a disk. Some of the images will be used in Friday’s slide show.
